Reaction to review of severe grading of MFL exams

| 12/11/2019

Following a review into concerns about severe grading of modern languages at GSCE  level, Ofqual have confirmed there is a strong case to make an adjustment to grading standards in French and German, but not Spanish. They will require exam boards that offer these subjects to make adjustments to align grading standards in French and German with Spanish.

See the Ofqual statement here.

CCEA, the leading awarding body in Northern Ireland will conduct a similar review into grading of MFL exams at GCSE and A-level.  It will include, French, German, Spanish and Irish.
